TeacherActive in Wales is seeking a qualified Secondary Maths Teacher for Newport, starting September 2026. The role is temporary, paying £172.98–£210.00 per day, dependent on experience and scale, with regular engagement across local schools.

You will deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, maintain high expectations, and contribute to a supportive educational network in Newport. The position offers short-term supply through to longer-term placements, with a dedicated consultant team

Qualifications

• QTS and experience teaching within a secondary setting.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
• A professional, reliable and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities
