Quantity Surveyor - Office-to-Residential Conversion (£18m+)

Islington, London

£65,000 - £75,000 + Car Allowance

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Islington to take the commercial lead on an office-to-residential conversion valued at over £18m. The scheme involves transforming an existing commercial building into 120 modern apartments, a complex, technically interesting project with plenty of scope to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all commercial and contractual aspects of the project
  • Prepare cost plans, valuations, variations, and financial reports
  • Manage tendering, subcontractor packages, and procurement strategy
  • Lead contract administration using JCT forms
  • Maintain accurate cost control and produce monthly project reporting
  • Work closely with design, technical, and site teams to support successful delivery
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
About You
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential or office-to-resi conversion projects
  • Confident handling schemes £10m+
  • Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating within a wider delivery team
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in a fast-paced urban project environment
