Job summary

XPO TRANSPORT SOLUTIONS EUROPE is seeking a QHSE Manager to join our team. The role is based in Leicester with travel to other Midlands and North West sites.

You will deploy and manage vehicle compliance, health, safety and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety across sites and the wider XPO business. You will work with solicitors on claims and litigations, deliver training, and ensure staff are trained to maintain legislative compliance.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate is required.
• Competent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are essential.
• Operational/managerial experience in Logistics/Transport is required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for stakeholder liaison.
• Experience delivering training/briefings to colleagues is preferred.
• Willingness to travel (overnight stays) is required.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage all vehicle compliance, health, safety and environmental policies.
• Promote a culture of health and safety within sites and the wider XPO business.
• Lead liaison with solicitors regarding claims and litigations.
• Coordinate training and ensure staff competence and awareness of QHSE policy.
• Monitor and improve on-site risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Maintain and improve the site Environmental Management System and related SOPs.

that suitable and sufficient training is provided and maintained for the Contract to manage QHSE issues on a day-to-day basisManagement of the on-site risk assessment process and co-ordination of the Contract SOPsManagement of the Contract accident and near miss reporting and investigation procedure, ensuring managers and leaders are appropriately trained and implementing the required procedures and standards to retain legislative complianceCarry out incident trend analysis and monitor and report statistics with a clear view to plan and improve standards on the ContractEnsure all monitoring systems are fully updatedProvide support and advice to the team when required to ensure accident investigations are completed thoroughly, timely and accurately.Management and maintenance of the site environmental management system.Formulate action plans/improvements for health and safety across the Contract.Promotion of the Behavioural Safety Guidelines and B-Safety.Provide on-site liaison with
