Job summary

ASC Connections in Birmingham is seeking a hands-on QHSE Manager to lead quality, health, safety and environmental standards across a growing manufacturing business. You will work with the Senior Management Team to develop and sustain systems ensuring legal compliance and continual improvement.

Key duties include maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, managing risk assessments and audits, investigating incidents, overseeing training, and reporting findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience as QHSE Manager or similar in manufacturing.
• Experience maintaining quality management systems and audits.
• Knowledge of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 auditor training advantageous.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical QHSE guidance across the business.
• Maintain risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems; coordinate audits and inspections.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformance; implement corrective actions.
• Manage mandatory training, toolbox talks, fire safety and inspections.
• Monitor QHSE performance and report findings to senior management.
