Job summary

Expro is seeking an experienced QHSE Advisor to support delivery of Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental excellence across our operations. This is a key role responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting managers and employees in implementing QHSE systems and processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement, monitor performance, and provide expert guidance on all aspects of QHSE

Qualifications

  • Experience in a QHSE role and understanding of QHSE management systems.
  • Proven ability to conduct incident investigations, audits and risk assessments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a focal point for QHSE matters and provide guidance on legislation and best practices.
  • Support compliance with QHSE management systems, policies, standards and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing local QHSE processes.
  • Partner with managers to achieve QHSE objectives and drive improvements.
  • Deliver advice, coaching and support to employees and management on QHSE matters.
  • Manage risk assessments and COSHH assessments; assist with emergency planning and training.
  • Ensure incidents are reported, investigated and closed with corrective actions.
  • Monitor QHSE performance metrics, audits and incident reporting systems.
  • Contribute to bids and tender submissions with QHSE input.
  • Deliver QHSE training and organise monthly Engagement Sessions and toolbox talks.

Overall Purpose of the Job

We are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSEAdvisor to support the delivery of and Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) excellence across our operations. This is a key role responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting managers and employees in the effective implementation of QHSE systems and processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement, monitor performance, and provide expert guidance on all aspects of QHSE management.

Key Activities And Accountabilities
  • Act as a focal point for QHSE matters within your area of responsibility, providing guidance on relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices
  • Support compliance with company QHSE management systems, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Assist in developing and implementing local QHSE processes where required
  • Partner with managers to achieve QHSE objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Deliver advice, coaching, and support to employees and management on QHSE matters
  • Support the development, review, and maintenance of risk assessments and COSHH assessments
  • Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and training activities
  • Ensure accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported, investigated, and closed out with effective corrective actions
  • Manage non-conformance reporting processes, ensuring investigations and corrective actions are completed promptly
  • Monitor QHSE performance metrics and reporting requirements, including KPIs, inspections, audits, and incident reporting systems
  • Support the communication and promotion of QHSE information across the business
  • Conduct or coordinate QHSE audits and workplace inspections to identify risks and improve compliance
  • Provide QHSE input to customer bids and tender submissions when required
  • Deliver QHSE training, including induction programmes for new employees and contractors
  • Organise and contribute to monthly Engagement Sessions, toolbox talks, and quality-focused initiatives
Job Knowledge And Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience working within a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of QHSE management systems and associated processes.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to influence and support managers and employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in an QHSE environment.
  • Good working knowledge of QHSE management systems.
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • IRCA 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.

Desirable:

  • Additional HSE qualifications (e.g. IOSH, ISO 45001/14001 Auditor certifications).
  • Experience within an operational, engineering, manufacturing, or oil & gas environment.
