Job summary

Expro is seeking a Service Quality Specialist to support the QMS implementation and continuous improvement across Operations, Projects, Engineering, and Supply Chain. You will audit, manage supplier quality, drive corrective actions, and lead lessons learned programs.

In this role, you will coordinate audits across regions, develop quality plans, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, API Q2, and contractual requirements while promoting a culture of operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Management, or Engineering roles within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience conducting internal and supplier audits within ISO 9001-certified environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, corrective action processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing action tracking systems and driving improvement actions to completion.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, quality management systems, and business reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Drive compliance with the Global Audit Programme by coordinating and supporting audit activities across multiple regions
  • Plan and conduct internal audits to verify compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Support supplier and vendor audits in partnership with Supply Chain teams, ensuring findings and corrective actions are effectively managed through to closure
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001, API Q2, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Support the delivery and completion of Service Delivery Plans, working closely with operational and functional stakeholders
  • Lead quality event investigations, facilitating root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, effectiveness reviews, and lessons learned
  • Facilitate the capture, communication, and sharing of lessons learned from projects, audits, incidents, and improvement initiatives to promote organisational learning
  • Analyse quality performance data, audit trends, non-conformance reports, and corrective action effectiveness to identify improvement opportunities
  • Provide quality-related KPI data and support monthly performance reporting
  • Support tendering and contract review activities by assessing quality requirements, risks, compliance obligations, and resource needs
  • Review Project Quality Plans (PQPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure compliance with contractual, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Review Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) to verify compliance with company quality standards and applicable industry requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, service delivery, projects, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are embedded throughout project execution
  • Maintain and manage the Quality Action Tracker, ensuring actions are monitored, reported, and closed in a timely manner
  • Champion a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence through coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement

Overall Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated Service Quality Specialist to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS). This is a key role that will work closely with Operations, Projects, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements while driving operational excellence across the business.

Job Knowledge And Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Management, or Engineering roles within the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience conducting internal and supplier audits within ISO 9001‑certified environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, corrective action processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Proficiency in SharePoint, quality management systems, and business reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, or a related discipline.
  • Qualified Internal Auditor, with ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification highly desirable.
  • Experience working with API Q2 requirements.
  • Previous exposure to subsea and/or surface equipment within the oil and gas sector.
