Job summary

Expro International Group in Aberdeen seeks an experienced and proactive QHSE Advisor to promote a positive safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance across operations. You will work with operational teams to drive continuous improvement and provide expert guidance on QHSE management.

You will act as focal point for QHSE matters, support policy adherence, develop local processes, and deliver training and engagement sessions for staff and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of QHSE management systems and processes.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to influence and support managers and employees at all levels.
  • Organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as focal point for QHSE matters within your area of responsibility, providing guidance on relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices
  • Support compliance with company QHSE management systems, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Assist in developing and implementing local QHSE processes where required
  • Partner with managers to achieve QHSE objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Deliver advice, coaching, and support to employees and management on QHSE matters
  • Support the development, review, and maintenance of risk assessments and COSHH assessments
  • Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and training activities
  • Ensure accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported, investigated, and closed out with effective corrective actions
  • Manage non-conformance reporting processes, ensuring investigations and corrective actions are completed promptly
  • Monitor QHSE performance metrics and reporting requirements, including KPIs, inspections, audits, and incident reporting systems
  • Support the communication and promotion of QHSE information across the business
  • Conduct or coordinate QHSE audits and workplace inspections to identify risks and improve compliance
  • Provide QHSE input to customer bids and tender submissions when required
  • Deliver QHSE training, including induction programmes for new employees and contractors
  • Organise and contribute to monthly Engagement Sessions, toolbox talks, and quality-focused initiatives

Overall Purpose of the Job

We are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSEAdvisor to support the delivery of and Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) excellence across our operations. This is a key role responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting managers and employees in the effective implementation of QHSE systems and processes.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience working within a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of QHSE management systems and associated processes.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to influence and support managers and employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrable experience in an QHSE environment.
  • Good working knowledge of QHSE management systems.
  • Experience within an operational, engineering, manufacturing, or oil & gas environment.
