Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced QE Automation Team Lead to guide a high-performing group in delivering end-to-end test automation solutions. You will partner with clients to define quality strategies, develop scalable frameworks, and embed a quality-first culture while remaining hands-on and driving outcomes.

You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and ensure seamless integration of automation into CI/CD and cloud environments, leveraging GenAI tools to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience defining and implementing modern Quality Engineering practices including test automation.
• Experience leading or mentoring a Quality engineering automation team.
• Proficiency in at least one OOP language: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills, translating technical complexity for any audience.
• Collaborative, egoless approach with a passion for improving quality and delivery.
• Willing to adapt roles and stacks to suit client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a QE automation team day-to-day, enabling autonomous delivery.
• Own client relationships from discovery through to delivery and reporting.
• Conduct test automation analysis and deliver improvement roadmaps for clients.
• Architect and build scalable test automation frameworks and scripts (JS/TS, Python, Java, or C#).
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Leverage GenAI tools such as Playwright with MCP, GitHub Copilot, and Claude.
• Contribute to internal QE community, share knowledge, and shape standards.
