Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is recruiting a QC Team Leader for a well-established global manufacturer in the precision engineering sector. You will lead a team of Quality Inspectors, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO9001/AS9100 standards in a high-precision environment.

You'll mentor staff, manage inspection activities to support production, and collaborate with Production, Engineering and Operations to deliver quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quality Inspection, Quality Engineering or Quality Leadership role.
• Experience leading or supervising quality teams.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection and metrology principles.
• Experience using CMM equipment.
• Understanding of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring and developing a team of Quality Inspectors.
• Managing inspection activities to support production requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with quality management systems and procedures.
• Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitoring KPIs and quality performance metrics.
• Supporting internal and external audits.
• Working closely with Production, Engineering and Operations teams.

The Role

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a Quality Inspection, Quality Engineering or Quality Leadership position
• Experience leading or supervising quality teams
• Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection and metrology principles
• Experience using CMM equipment
• Understanding of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving experience
• A background within manufacturing, aerospace, precision engineering or similar sectors
