Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Quality Control Technician to maintain QC processes, test products, and analyze results to ensure quality specifications. The role involves testing production batches, recording data, and communicating issues to production and other departments.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in a QC lab and in a manufacturing or distribution facility, plus an associate degree or higher in Chemistry.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
• Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a quality control laboratory.
• Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility.
• Have an associate's degree or higher in Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality control processes and test products to ensure specifications.
• Record and analyze results to ensure Sherwin products meet quality specs.
• Test production batches and identify issues with in-spec and out-of-spec data.
• Enter batch data into the electronic batch records system.
• Generate necessary paperwork per customer specifications.
• Gather and send customer samples as required.
• Use computer systems to test products effectively.
• Determine disposition of non-conforming finished goods.
• Place non-conforming material on hold as needed.
• Support the ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems.
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies.
• Identify and communicate product issues to other departments.
• Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures for Quality Department to meet ISO requirements.
• Assist in training other lab technicians.
