Job summary

Axalta has a vacancy for a Quality Control Technician at its Huthwaite site. You will perform routine QC testing on raw materials, intermediates and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and support batch release.

The role involves calibration, investigating out-of-spec results, coordinating corrective actions, and maintaining quality-system records while upholding 5S and safety standards in a busy laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Essential GCSEs including Maths, English and Science.
• Experience in manufacturing, coatings, chemical, automotive or quality environment.
• Knowledge of quality control testing and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality testing and inspection of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
• Evaluate colour, gloss, viscosity, density and other properties prior to batch release.
• Support batch adjustment recommendations based on test results.
• Maintain laboratory calibration schedules and records.
• Investigate out-of-specification results and support corrective actions.
• Record and report test results in quality systems.
