Job summary

IPL Schoeller in Rotherham (S61) is hiring a QA Technician to champion quality across the site. You will perform incoming inspections, conduct routine material and product testing, and work with teams to resolve quality issues. The role involves rotating shifts (6:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00) and requires proactive administration and documentation.

Qualifications

Experience with quality control processes in a manufacturing setting.
Familiar with measurement, destructive and non-destructive testing (training provided).
Able to communicate with stakeholders and maintain good administration records.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming inspection and approve materials on delivery.
Conduct first-off, daily and weekly testing per schedules (destructive and non-destructive).
Raise quality concerns with managers and coordinate improvements.
Coordinate rework with Logistics for non-conforming products.
Check finished stock, issue certificates for loads.
Manage sample stock and prepare customer samples.
Run material trials to verify new HDPE formulas before mass use.
Run product trials to verify new moulds before introduction.
Attend daily pulse meetings to report on quality issues and actions.
Maintain 5S in QC area and uphold safe working standards.
