Job summary

The Advocate Group seeks a detail-oriented QA/Product Development professional to assess finished products for performance and regulatory compliance, and to create user documentation. You will review packaging, coordinate with Product Development on testing, and support regulatory activities while liaising with labs and external bodies.

The role emphasizes accuracy, ownership, and collaboration across departments, with opportunities to contribute to regulatory projects and product claims

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of QA or Product Development experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ownership and accountability in work.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Experience supporting product development or testing (desirable).
  • Experience in toys, food, or medical device industries (preferred but not essential).
  • Understanding of scientific or regulatory principles (desirable).
  • Second European language advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing finished products to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Producing product instructions and user documentation.
  • Reviewing packaging artwork for accuracy and compliance.
  • Working with Product Development on product testing and technical information.
  • Supporting Customer Service with investigations, complaints and defects.
  • Providing technical support to Marketing for product claims and promotional content.
  • Liaising with testing laboratories, environmental agencies and compliance schemes.
  • Supporting regulatory projects as legislation evolves.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, technical files and risk assessments.
  • Managing packaging data including weights, dimensions and compliance information.
  • Supporting regulatory administration and liaison with external bodies.
  • Coordinating product testing with overseas testing team.
  • Supporting new product development through testing and claim verification.

Job description

The Role
  • Assessing finished products to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Producing product instructions and user documentation.
  • Reviewing packaging artwork to ensure logos, wording and product information are accurate and compliant.
  • Working closely with Product Development on product testing and technical information.
  • Supporting Customer Service with product investigations, complaints and defects.
  • Providing technical support to Marketing to ensure product claims and promotional content are factually accurate.
  • Liaising with testing laboratories, environmental agencies and compliance schemes.
  • Supporting regulatory projects as legislation and industry requirements evolve.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, technical files and risk assessments.
  • Managing packaging data, including weights, dimensions and compliance information.
  • Supporting regulatory administration and liaising with external compliance bodies.
  • Coordinating product testing, including working with the overseas testing team.
  • Supporting new product development through product testing and claim verification.
About You
  • At least one year's experience within a Quality Assurance or Product Development role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • An analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Experience supporting product development or product testing (desirable).

  • An understanding of scientific or regulatory principles (desirable).
  • A second European language would be advantageous but is not essential.
