Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a QA Supervisor to join our Technical team in Clitheroe. You will uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality across the site, coaching teams and driving continual improvement to deliver trusted products.

You will collaborate with Production and Technical teams, lead internal audits, manage customer and supplier issues, and prepare for BRC and customer audits. This role requires hands-on leadership in a busy chilled food manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of BRC standards and codes of practice.
• Experience carrying out internal audits and supporting external audits.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest food safety and quality standards across the site.
• Work with Production and Technical teams to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead internal audits and drive corrective actions.
• Investigate customer complaints and supplier non-conformances.
• Monitor microbiological trends and shelf-life testing.
• Oversee GMP, Glass & Plastic, paperwork, and hygiene standards.
• Coordinate product trials and validation activities.
• Produce technical KPIs and quality reports.
• Support customer visits and demonstrate commitment to quality.
• Champion product quality and food safety across the factory.
• Deliver training on food safety and quality across site.
• Coach production teams on allergens, CCPs, GMP, and best practice.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement.
• Help maintain BRC standards and customer confidence.
