Job summary

Dornan Engineering Services Ltd is seeking a QA/QC Manager with electrical bias and data centre experience to lead the site quality and inspection activities. You will establish and implement the Project quality plan, oversee site inspections and test procedures, and act as a key ambassador for quality and safety on the project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site QA/QC team and co-ordinate quality activities across the project.
• Familiarise with scope of each system, specification and installation, focusing on pipe work and weld quality.
• Lead the implementation of the site inspection and test process for each system.
• Attend and lead quality review meetings with General Contractor and client as required.
• Provide feedback to Project Management on quality processes and suggest improvements.
• Generate and close punch lists and quality statistics for tracking.
• Coordinate with client and subcontractors on scheduling walk downs.
• Support QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure all quality documentation and handover records are maintained.

Job description

QA/QC Manager - Electrically Biased / Data Centre Experience

As a QA/QC Manager you will, as part of a dedicated site quality and inspection team, be expected to lead and co-ordinate the establishment and implementation of the Project quality plan, site inspection and test procedures of the subcontracted installation. The QA/QC Manager will be an exemplar ambassador for the company and its values; integrity, dependability, safety, pride, quality.

Your day will include:

• Lead and manage the site QA/QC team and co-ordinate quality activities across the project.
• Familiarisation with the scope of each system, specification and installation, focusing particularly on pipe work installation and weld quality.
• Familiarisation of the requirement of the Quality plan, the General Contractor quality plan and the client quality plan.
• Lead the implementation of the site inspection and test process as prioritised for each system.
• Attend and lead quality review meetings with the General Contractor and client as required.
• Provide regular feedback to the Project Management team on the Quality process on site and issue improvement recommendations, in line with the weekly project reporting structure.
• Generate and close out punch lists and generate quality statistics for tracking and monitoring purposes.
• Co-ordinate with the client and subcontractors on the scheduling and prioritising of system walk downs.
• Manage and support QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors, ensuring quality standards and project requirements are maintained across all installations.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure any non-conformances are identified, recorded and closed out in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure all quality documentation, inspection records and handover documentation are maintained and completed in accordance with the Project quality plan.
• All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager.
