Job summary

Dornan is seeking a QA/QC Manager for electrically biased data centre projects in the Greater London area. You will lead the site quality and inspection team, developing and implementing the project quality plan and testing procedures across subcontracted installations.

The role demands hands-on quality leadership, coordination with client and General Contractor, and delivery of quality metrics, punch lists and handover documentation, with a strong emphasis on safety, integrity and adherence to

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of site inspection and test processes.
• Attend and lead quality review meetings with General Contractor and client.
• Feedback to Project Management on the Quality process with improvements.
• Generate and close punch lists and quality statistics.
• Coordinate with client and subcontractors on system walk downs.
• Support QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure QA documentation, inspection records and handover docs are completed.

Job description

QA/QC Manager - Electrically Biased / Data Centre Experience

As a QA/QC Manager you will, as part of a dedicated site quality and inspection team, be expected to lead and co-ordinate the establishment and implementation of the Project quality plan, site inspection and test procedures of the subcontracted installation. The QA/QC Manager will be an exemplar ambassador for the company and its values; integrity, dependability, safety, pride, quality.

Your day will include:

• Lead and manage the site QA/QC team and co-ordinate quality activities across the project.
• Familiarisation with the scope of each system, specification and installation, focusing particularly on pipe work installation and weld quality.
• Familiarisation of the requirement of the Quality plan, the General Contractor quality plan and the client quality plan.
• Lead the implementation of the site inspection and test process as prioritised for each system.
• Attend and lead quality review meetings with the General Contractor and client as required.
• Provide regular feedback to the Project Management team on the Quality process on site and issue improvement recommendations, in line with the weekly project reporting structure.
• Generate and close out punch lists and generate quality statistics for tracking and monitoring purposes.
• Co-ordinate with the client and subcontractors on the scheduling and prioritising of system walk downs.
• Manage and support QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors, ensuring quality standards and project requirements are maintained across all installations.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure any non-conformances are identified, recorded and closed out in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure all quality documentation, inspection records and handover documentation are maintained and completed in accordance with the Project quality plan.
• All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager.
