Job summary

Dornan is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead the on-site quality and inspection team for a data centre project in Greater London. You will establish and implement the project quality plan, oversee inspection and testing across subcontractors, and liaise with the Project Management team and client to drive quality outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, a detailed understanding of QA/QC processes, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site QA/QC team and co-ordinate quality activities across the project.
• Familiarisation with the scope of each system, specification and installation, focusing particularly on pipe work installation and weld quality.
• Familiarisation of the requirement of the Quality plan, the General Contractor quality plan and the client quality plan.
• Lead the implementation of the site inspection and test process as prioritised for each system.
• Attend and lead quality review meetings with the General Contractor and client as required.
• Provide regular feedback to the Project Management team on the Quality process on site and issue improvement recommendations, in line with the weekly project reporting structure.
• Generate and close out punch lists and generate quality statistics for tracking and monitoring purposes.
• Co-ordinate with the client and subcontractors on the scheduling and prioritising of system walk downs.
• Manage and support QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors, ensuring quality standards and project requirements are maintained across all installations.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure any non-conformances are identified, recorded and closed out in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure all quality documentation, inspection records and handover documentation are maintained and completed in accordance with the Project quality plan.

QA/QC Manager - Electrically Biased / Data Centre Experience

As a QA/QC Manager you will, as part of a dedicated site quality and inspection team, be expected to lead and co-ordinate the establishment and implementation of the Project quality plan, site inspection and test procedures of the subcontracted installation. The QA/QC Manager will be an exemplar ambassador for the company and its values; integrity, dependability, safety, pride, quality.

Your day will include:

Working closely with the Project Management team, your duties may include (but are not limited to):
