Job summary

Samworth Brothers is seeking a QA Manager to lead the Quality Assurance team on site in Leicester. You will oversee quality systems, ensure compliance with customer, legal and company standards, and drive continuous improvement with Operations and Technical teams.

You will bring proven QA/technical experience in food manufacturing, strong HACCP knowledge, and a calm, practical leadership style to resolve issues and guide staff across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QA or technical role within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and audits.
• Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with production colleagues.
• Calm, practical approach to resolving issues and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QA team across site operations.
• Act as the main point of contact for food safety and quality matters.
• Ensure quality systems meet customer, legal and company standards.
• Work closely with Operations to maintain hygiene practices.
• Manage non-conformances and close out actions.
• Investigate quality, micro or process issues and define outcomes.
• Support audits, inspections and customer visits.
• Help develop and maintain HACCP and food safety systems.
