Job summary

Caval Ltd. is seeking a QA Engineer to join the Highways team in Wakefield. You will produce and review RAMS, QA/QC and construction documentation, and plan on MS Projects.

The role requires extensive highways civils experience within the UK and strong QA/QC discipline to ensure quality and compliance across the project lifecycle. You will manage RAMS, ITPs, permits and RFIs, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and maintain as-built records.

Qualifications

• RAMS production and QA/QC documentation
• ITPs, CPP, RFIs, TQs documentation experience
• Ability to review construction documentation and RAMS

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update RAMS and QA/QC documentation
• Produce and maintain ITPs and CPPs
• Manage RFIs and TQs and liaise with clients and subcontractors
• Update and monitor progress against the project quality plan
• Ensure site records are accurate and up to date
• Support on site with QA/QC activities and ensure smooth delivery of highways civils schemes
• Review designs and assess buildability

QA Engineer - Highways

Job Title: QA Engineer

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Rate: £350-375 per day - Outside IR35

Duration: 12 months

Role

As a QA Engineer, you will ensure the production and review of engineering documentation on their Highways Frameworks whilst. Producing RAMS & Job Packs, planning & programming on MS projects, etc

• CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS and 3 Day First Aid
• Experience as a Site / Senior Engineer / Sub Agent on Highways Civils schemes in the UK
• Has extensive experience producing and reviewing construction documentation (including RAMS, QA/QC, ITPs, CPP, RFIs, TQs, etc)

Responsibilities:

• RFIs & TQs
• Ensure site records are accurate and kept up to date
• Complete and update programmes (look a heads)
• Produce Inspection & Test Plans and maintain as built records
• Management of the project quality plan
• Liaising With Clients, Subcontractors and Other Professional Staff
• Completing QA / QC Documentation
• Managing the progress of subcontractors
• Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs, Permits, etc
• Working with the Agents to ensure smooth delivery of highways civils schemes
• Reviewing Designs and assessing buildability
• Submitting technical queries
