Job summary

Humdinger in Heckington is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor to maintain an audit-ready manufacturing environment, identify opportunities for improvement and support investigations that protect product quality and customer confidence.

The role is permanent full-time, 36 hours per week on a 3 on 4 off shift (1800–0600). Pay is £16.17 per hour plus benefits including pension, life cover and healthcare schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience auditing in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and procedural discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Confident in challenging non-compliance with root cause analysis.
• Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal and external audits (GMP, hygiene, pest control, glass and hard plastics).
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
• Perform environmental monitoring and sampling.
• Review product specs, testing results and quality documents.
• Investigate customer complaints and foreign body incidents using root cause analysis.
• Support traceability and QMS compliance.
• Participate in taste panels and finished product assessments.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, NPD and other functions.
• Maintain an audit-ready manufacturing environment.

Are you passionate about food quality, food safety and continuous improvement? Join our Technical team and play a key role in ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality, safety and customer expectations.

As a Quality Assurance Auditor, you will help maintain an audit-ready manufacturing environment, identify opportunities for improvement and support investigations that protect both product quality and customer confidence.

Shift Pattern 3 on 4 off, Monday - Saturday, 1800 - 0600

Pay range £16.17 per hour

Breaks 3 x 20 minute paid

Closing Date Friday 21st August 2026

• Conduct internal & external audits including GMP, hygiene, pest control, glass and hard plastics audits.
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective action completion.
• Complete environmental monitoring, hand swabs, rapid swabs and water sampling.
• Review product specifications, testing results and quality documentation.
• Investigate customer complaints and foreign body incidents using root cause analysis.
• Support traceability exercises and quality management system compliance.
• Participate in taste panels and finished product assessments.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, NPD and wider business functions.
• Quality Auditor experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong focus on product quality and following procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear communication.
• Team-oriented, supportive and able to work collaboratively.
• Confident in challenging non‑compliance with solid problem‑solving ability.
• Competent IT skills, including strong use of Microsoft Office.
