Job description

Job Title: QA Analyst

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 6 months

Salary: GBP42,479.42 (GBP46,785.07 after 12 months of successful performance)

Working Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Location: Liverpool - Hybrid working

The difference you will make as a QA Analyst

You will provide an effective end-to-end test service to ensure solutions meet required specifications for all IT and cross-cutting business change projects, coordinating testing analysis, preparation, execution, and reporting.

About you
  • Experience of system and integration test execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry testing standards and controls.
  • Understanding and appreciation of good user experience and the importance of being the users' advocate.
  • Good understanding of usability and accessibility of applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with a structured project lifecycle, including knowledge of associated tools and techniques.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate testing analysis, preparation, execution, and reporting for all assigned projects, including providing time and cost estimates.
  2. Develop end-to-end test strategies and plans, considering industry-standard test phases.
  3. Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices to select appropriate testing approaches.
  4. Create test strategies, scenarios, cases, environment specifications, defect approaches, and reports to ensure solutions meet all requirements.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders, including UAT teams, to ensure effective testing.
  6. Develop manual and automated test cases to verify functional and non-functional requirements.
  7. Implement and maintain automated test suites for continuous integration.
  8. Execute tests, identify and resolve critical defects.
  9. Produce concise test reports, metrics, and status updates for stakeholders, including Test Completion Reports.
  10. Participate in governance forums, presenting updates and information.
  11. Identify and manage project risks and issues.
  12. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
  13. Respond flexibly to work priority changes and support operational needs.
  14. Ensure compliance with information security and data protection policies.
