Job summary

Vertus Partners in London is seeking a Python Engineer to build reliable data services for buy-side trading and investment workflows. You will own systems used across the front and middle office, improving how complex financial data is processed, validated and delivered, while remaining hands-on and technically demanding.

The role focuses on scalable Python services, data pipelines, testing, CI/CD, and close collaboration with engineers and business stakeholders to turn requirements into robust

Qualifications

Strong Python programming with solid design judgment.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable Python services for business-critical financial data.
Improve processing and distribution of instrument, transaction and position information.
Automate workflows that currently require manual intervention.
Develop dependable intraday and scheduled data pipelines for a range of internal users.
Strengthen validation, monitoring and controls across production systems.
Work directly with technical and business stakeholders to turn loosely defined requirements into robust software.
Contribute to automated testing, deployment processes and ongoing platform reliability.
