Job summary

Brio Digital Limited is seeking a Python Software Engineer (AWS Serverless) to design, build, test and operate scalable Python services on serverless AWS infrastructure. The role covers the full lifecycle from design to deployment, monitoring and live support within a leading digital consultancy on a major UK public sector programme.

You will work with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and S3, implement Terraform-based infrastructure, and drive CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python experience building production services.
• AWS serverless experience, particularly Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and S3.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitHub.
• Automated testing and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python backend services and APIs.
• Build cloud-native solutions on AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, DynamoDB, S3 and CloudWatch.
• Deploy infrastructure and applications using Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment.
• Implement automated unit and integration testing, contributing to code quality and security.
• Work with product, architecture and delivery teams to turn requirements into effective solutions.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents and drive continuous improvement.
