Job summary

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a software engineer to design, build and maintain core software across the customer platform ecosystem. You will develop APIs and integrations with platforms such as Salesforce or Dynamics 365, modernise legacy systems and improve testing, deployment, monitoring and observability.

The role involves working with product owners, UX and architects to translate customer needs into robust software, balancing technical quality with delivery and customer value.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python development experience.
• Experience building modern web applications, services, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Experience with REST APIs and integrating multiple systems.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of application security, performance and observability.
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
• Ability to work with both modern and legacy technologies.
