Job summary

Fixatex Ltd is seeking a qualified Electrician with Solar PV experience to join our team across domestic social housing projects in London and the Southeast. You will perform electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and PV servicing to high standards.

You will work from our Hertford base and travel to sites, applying BS standards and ensuring compliance, safety, and quality. We offer training, a company vehicle, and clear career progression in a supportive, family-run environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 10+ years in electrical industry.
• Experience in solar PV systems and related equipment.
• Knowledge of BS7671 and electrical regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing as required.
• Install, service, maintain & repair solar PV systems.
• Interpret electrical/site drawings and report faults.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and regulations.

The Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician who has experience with Solar PV install & servicing. The successful candidate will be involved in but not limited to the following works: Electrical reactive maintenance, testing & inspection, electrical installation, and the installation, maintenance & servicing of small-scale solar PV systems.

The role will involve working across a variety of domestic properties, primarily within the social housing and local authority sectors. All work must be completed to a consistently high standard, using technical expertise in line with industry regulations and company expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing works as required.
• Install, service, maintain & repair solar PV systems
• Demonstrate competence with a wide range of solar PV systems and equipment, including monitoring devices
• Have a good understanding of electrical systems and be able to identify/ report faults.
• Interpret electrical / site drawings when necessary
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and BS #removed# regulations
• Complete all job reports and certification accurately
• Work safely and in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and fire safety standards
• Attend and complete all company-provided training
• Participate in performance reviews, improvement programmes, and appraisals
• Liaise effectively with office staff and supervisors to resolve queries
• Adhere to company KPIs and operational standards
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by management

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification
• C&G #removed# Level 3 -Installation & Maintenance of Small-Scale PV Systems or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)
• 18th Edition C&G 2382 or equivalent.
• C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the electrical industry
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the solar PV industry
