Job summary

Renvolt Energy is seeking an O&M Technician to support operation and maintenance of renewable energy projects in the Peterborough area. The role involves on-site and remote troubleshooting to ensure performance and reliability of PV assets.

Responsibilities include diagnostic analysis, maintenance, reporting, and participation in commissioning and on-call rotations. Candidates should have an electrical qualification and 3 years of relevant experience, with HV maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional electrical qualification required.
• Three years of experience in similar functions with demonstrated fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of 18th edition wiring regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and processes.
• Experience in medium/high voltage maintenance preferred.
• Experience with data acquisition and communications systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Comply with KPI’s defined contractually with customers and partners.
• Analyse and solve technical issues on PV installations.
• Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting support.
• Recommend and implement fault recovery to restore production.
• Interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Carry out maintenance on electrical components.
• Perform fault diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Prepare maintenance reports and documentation.
• Participate in on-site specialized technical maintenance activities.
• Adhere to the preventive maintenance plan for all equipment.
• Attend emergencies at PV plants and assist other sites as required.
• Assist in commissioning and start-up activities at other sites.
• Join the on-call rota as required and follow procedures.
