Job summary

NRT Group is seeking an experienced PV Engineer to install, commission, service and maintain Solar PV systems across residential and small commercial sites in London and the Home Counties. The role requires technical competence, safety focus, and the ability to work independently in the field.

The position offers a competitive salary (£38,000–£45,000) and benefits with a company vehicle, fuel card, and ongoing training in renewable energy technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and maintaining Solar PV systems.
• Strong electrical knowledge and fault-finding ability.
• Experience working on residential and/or small commercial projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install Solar PV systems including roof-mounted and ground-mounted arrays.
• Carry out commissioning, testing, and system handovers.
• Diagnose and repair faults on existing PV systems.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance visits.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations (BS 7671, MCS, DNO requirements).
• Complete electrical and installation documentation accurately.
• Liaise professionally with customers, site managers, and internal teams.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard.
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures at all times.

Role Overview
