Job summary

Sureserve is hiring experienced Solar PV Engineers to join our Manchester team. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and maintain domestic PV systems, delivering a safe, professional service with the support of a growing company.

The role offers a base salary up to £40,000 plus a van and fuel card, with uncapped overtime, and comprehensive benefits including 29 days of annual leave and employee assistance. You’ll work to BS 7671 standards and communicate system health clearly to homeowners.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and 18th Edition BS7671 certification.
• Proven experience in installation, servicing, or maintenance of Solar PV systems.
• Strong electrical fault-finding abilities and comfort working at heights.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to produce clear, concise job reports via digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot faults on domestic PV systems, including inverters, string configurations, and optimizers.
• Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure system longevity and safety.
• Carryout component replacements (inverters, DC isolators, or panels) and minor electrical upgrades.
• Ensure all work is completed to BS 7671 standards and documented accurately.
• Provide clear, professional advice to homeowners on system health and performance.

We're looking for experienced Solar PV Engineers to join our growing team in Manchester. You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and maintaining domestic PV systems, ensuring customers receive a safe, reliable and professional service every time.
