Job summary

Sureserve is hiring a Solar PV Engineer for Nottingham to diagnose faults, service and repair domestic PV installations. You’ll work on inverters, strings and optimizers, perform planned maintenance and replacements, while delivering safe, reliable, and professional service to homeowners.

The role requires BS 7671 (18th edition) and prior Solar PV experience, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to produce concise digital reports.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 preferred.
• Current 18th Edition (BS 7671) certification.
• Proven experience with installation, servicing or maintenance of Solar PV systems.
• Strong electrical fault-finding abilities and comfort working at heights.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to produce clear job reports via digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot faults on domestic PV systems, including inverters, strings and optimizers.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance for longevity and safety.
• Carry out component replacements (inverters, DC isolators, panels) and minor electrical upgrades.
• Ensure all work meets BS 7671 standards and is documented.
• Provide clear, professional advice to homeowners on system health and performance.

Job description

We're looking for experienced Solar PV Engineers to join our growing team in Nottingham. If you're confident fault-finding, servicing and repairing domestic solar installations, this is an opportunity to join a national business offering steady work, excellent support and genuine earning potential through uncapped overtime. You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and maintaining domestic PV systems, ensuring customers receive a safe, reliable and professional service every time.

The role

• Carryout component replacements (inverters, DC isolators, or panels) and minor electrical upgrades.
• Ensure all work is completed to BS 7671 standards and documented accurately.
• Provide clear, professional advice to homeowners on system health and performance.
