Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Slough, United Kingdom, is seeking a Scientist to join the Purification Development & Viral Clearance team. The role is site-based and focused on laboratory-based development projects supporting medicine manufacture.

You will conduct experiments, analyse data and work with colleagues and customers to advance projects safely, efficiently and on time. You will contribute to experimental design, documentation and cross-functional collaboration, while mentoring junior colleagues

Qualifications

• A BSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific or technical discipline.
• Experience of laboratory-based experimental work and following experimental plans.
• Interest or experience in purification development or viral clearance.
• Strong data organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Good planning, communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute laboratory experiments across Purification Development and Viral Clearance.
• Deliver project activities safely and to required quality within timelines.
• Collect, analyse and interpret experimental data to support decisions.
• Prepare technical documentation, protocols and reports.
• Collaborate with Development Services, customers and external partners.
• Present findings and develop subject matter expertise.
• Support continuous improvement and mentoring of junior team members.

Education
