Job summary

Lonza in Slough is seeking a Scientist for QC Product Testing & Stability to ensure the quality and stability of therapeutic protein products in a regulated GMP environment. This laboratory-based role focuses on analytical testing and data review in a collaborative team.

You will perform HPLC, capillary electrophoresis and related methods, review findings against specifications, and contribute to stability programmes while supporting investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
• Experience in GMP-regulated pharma/biotech lab environment.
• Practical knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, capillary electrophoresis, spectrophotometry).
• Understanding of cGMP principles and quality-controlled lab work.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on therapeutic protein samples per GMP SOPs.
• Review data for technical accuracy and communicate observations to stakeholders.
• Prepare stability study protocols and technical reports.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
• Mentor colleagues and promote best lab practices.
• Contribute to lab operations and continuous improvement.
