Purchasing Department Assistant
Irwindale, CA
In-Office Position | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pierre Landscape is a leader in commercial landscape construction—and we’re growing fast! We're looking for a motivatedPurchasing Assistant to support our busy Purchasing Department. This entry-level, in-office role offers excellent growth potential, hands-on training, and the chance to become a cross-functional team member in a dynamic work environment.

Job File Management & Data Entry

• Create and manage job files in Sage

• Transfer data from templates into Sage

• Enter vendor pricing into Excel for Master Buyout Sheets

• Learn to issue Master Purchase Orders (POs)

Submittal Creation

• Prepare initial and revisedsubmittals

• Collect product photos and specifications from vendors

Purchasing Support & Coordination

• Enter Purchase Order data as needed

• Support Purchasing and Production teams with tasks and coordination

• Assist with order placement and delivery follow-up

• Gain hands-on experience with vendor interaction and procurement basics

Administrative & Filing Duties

• Maintain organized records through regular filing

• Provide administrative support across the department

Learning & Development

•Be cross-trained in irrigation, dry goods, and green goods

• Continue building knowledge of purchasing and operations

• Take on additional duties as needed

Who We're Looking For

  • Detail-oriented and eager tolearn
  • Comfortable with data entry and administrative tasks
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience or education in construction or landscape fields is a plus
