Job summary

Ashdown Group is seeking a Purchase Ledger Controller to join its finance team in a hybrid role. You will manage the day-to-day purchase ledger, processing supplier invoices and payments, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring supplier queries are resolved promptly.

The role involves preparing payment runs, supporting month-end reconciliations and reporting, and upholding robust financial controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchase ledger, accounts payable or similar finance role.
• Ideal candidate at Purchase Ledger Controller or Accounts Payable Controller level.
• Good Excel skills and experience using an accounting or ERP system.
• Ability to liaise with suppliers and resolve queries with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchase ledger activities including processing supplier invoices and payments accurately.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process supplier payment runs.
• Support month-end activities including reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain financial records to support controls and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business to resolve invoice, PO and payment queries.
