Job summary

Consult KA is partnering with a services-based business to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a short-term assignment in Newcastle under Lyme. The role focuses on processing invoices, ensuring proper approvals, and keeping the ledger accurate under daily deadlines.

You will support the Finance Manager, manage matching, batching, and coding in SAGE, and generate supplier payments while maintaining good relationships with internal departments and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Invoices and payments must be properly approved with accurate records.
• Ability to liaise confidently with various departments and vendors.
• Detail-focused and organised to meet daily deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain purchase ledger including matching, batching and coding invoices.
• Create supplier payment runs and reconcile supplier statements.
• Liaise with internal/external colleagues to resolve queries.
• Produce daily CSV uploads for importing into SAGE.
