Job summary

Ward Hadaway is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk in Newcastle for a 12-month period, reporting to the Accounts Manager. You will manage accounts payable, processing invoices, reconciling statements and ensuring timely payments in a fast-paced finance environment.

The role requires strong organisation, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Hybrid working and a supportive team form part of the package at Ward Hadaway.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process internal expenses through the internal workflow system.
  • Prepare and import supplier and expenses payment runs into banking systems.
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details.
  • Reconcile supplier statements regularly.
  • Upload and process firm credit card transactions.
  • Monitor the shared accounts mailbox.
  • Assist with queries from internal teams and external parties.

The Vacancy

We're looking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our busy Finance team in Newcastle, initially for a period of 12 months. If you'd like to play a vital role in a fast-paced, high-impact finance environment, then our Finance team could be for you. Reporting to our Accounts Manager, you'll manage our accounts payable by efficiently processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring accurate and timely payments.

What will I be doing?
  • Processing internal expenses through our internal workflow system.
  • Preparing and importing supplier and expenses payment runs into the banking systems.
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Firm credit card uploading, distributing and processing.
  • Monitoring of the shared accounts staff mailbox.
  • Assisting with queries both internally and externally.
