Job summary

Ward Hadaway is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the busy Finance team in Newcastle for a 12-month period. You will manage accounts payable, process supplier invoices, reconcile statements and ensure timely payments.

Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will work in a fast-paced finance environment, with hybrid working options and a supportive culture focused on wellbeing and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good all-round IT skills.
• A flexible approach to work.
• The ability to work well within a team and to prioritise work & meet service delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process internal expenses through the internal workflow system.
• Prepare and import supplier and expenses payment runs into banking systems.
• Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Upload and process firm credit card transactions.
• Monitor the shared accounts staff mailbox.
• Assist with queries both internally and externally.
