MARCO, a globally recognized automation and technology company and part of the ATS Group, is seeking a dynamic Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our growing Finance Team in Edenbridge. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to company expansion, making it an ideal time to become an integral part of our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment to achieve production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
- Processing, coding, and matching invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Preparing payment runs and processing payments in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor details and account records.
- Handling supplier queries and building effective relationships with suppliers.
- Assisting with month-end close and reporting activities.
- Working closely with the procurement team to ensure that purchasing policies are adhered to.
- Adhere to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Webexpenses control.
- Support other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
- Small team dictates cover for other team members as required.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel.
- Experience in using JD Edwards would be advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and understanding of purchase ledger processes
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
