Job summary

GAC Group in Grangemouth is seeking a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our finance team. You will process high volumes of supplier invoices daily, code overhead invoices, and maintain the purchase ledger with accuracy.

You will also reconcile suppliers, arrange payments including BACS and overseas payments, and provide holiday cover for the team. The role requires team collaboration and initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in purchase ledger or similar role.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a fast-paced office.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative.

Could you be the person we are looking for to join us as our new Purchase Ledger Assistant in Grangemouth? We want to hear from you.

What would your day at GAC look like?
  • Daily processing of high volumes of purchase invoices
  • Coding of overhead invoices and coordinating authorisation
  • Completing supplier reconciliations
  • Accurately maintaining the purchase ledger
  • Arranging supplier payments, including preparing BACS payment runs and arranging overseas payments
  • Providing holiday cover for team members
  • Additional ad-hoc duties to support the Finance Department
Job Requirements
What are we looking for?
  • Proven experience in purchase ledger or similar experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications preferred
  • Ability to work well within a team and to own initiative
