Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a well-established school in Marlborough, Wiltshire, to recruit an organised School Transport Coordinator. The role supports pupil transport arrangements, daily schedules and related enquiries, with emphasis on accuracy, clear communication and a careful approach to safety.

You will coordinate transport routes, update schedules as circumstances change, and liaise with transport providers, drivers, parents and school staff.

Qualifications

• Previous transport coordination, logistics or administrative experience.
• Experience in a school or pupil transport setting is advantageous.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Careful, responsible approach to pupil safety and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating transport schedules and maintaining accurate route information.
• Liaising with transport providers, drivers, parents and school staff.
• Recording pupil transport requirements and authorised changes.
• Responding to transport enquiries and helping resolve scheduling issues.
• Maintaining relevant documentation and monitoring service arrangements.
• Escalating delays, safety concerns and incidents through the appropriate procedures.
