Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd in Tameside is seeking a supportive and patient individual to join a welcoming school as a Support Worker. You will provide dedicated support to pupils throughout the day, helping with learning, development and wellbeing.

This role offers Monday to Friday hours (8:30am to 3:40pm) with pay of £16.78 per hour, and there is potential for ongoing work for the right candidate. Experience in education is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to pupils throughout the school day.
• Support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.
• Provide one-to-one or small-group support where required.
• Encourage pupils to participate in lessons and school activities.
• Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Support pupils with a range of individual needs.
• Work alongside teaching staff to help create a positive and engaging environment.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
