Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking a caring and reliable SEN Learning Partner to join a specialist school in Cheltenham. You will work with pupils with SEND, supporting 1:1 and small groups to access learning and develop independence.

The role is hands-on, with supportive teams and long-term opportunities. Prior TA or similar experience is welcome, and a calm, patient approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Patient, approachable and genuinely enjoys working with children and young people.
• Experience with SEND, autism, complex needs or challenging behaviour is beneficial.
• Transferable experience from roles like Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Care Worker or Youth Worker is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children and young people with SEN and additional needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Helping pupils access lessons and classroom activities
• Supporting communication, interaction and social development
• Helping children develop independence and confidence
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
• Using a calm, patient and consistent approach
• Helping with sensory, practical and engaging activities
• Working alongside teachers, TAs and other support staff
• Following individual support plans and adapting your approach to each pupil
• Creating a safe, positive and supportive learning environment
