St Margaret's School for Girls in Aberdeen invites applications for a Pupil Support Assistant to join our dedicated junior school team. The role supports pupils with literacy and numeracy, supervises in dining and play areas, and helps create a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme membership required.
• Two satisfactory references required.
• Safeguarding of pupils is highest priority.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting children in the dining room and playground.
• Supporting small groups of learners while they work on a task.
• Supporting individual learners with their work in all areas of the curriculum.
• Supporting children to develop their social skills.
• Assisting with the preparation of the learning environment.
• Observing and recording learners’ progress.
• Assisting with the assessment of learners’ progress.
• Responding to minor accidents and administering First Aid.
• Keeping abreast of educational developments relevant to learners’ needs and the development of the curriculum.
