Job summary

Fife Council in Ballingry is seeking a Pupil Support Assistant (2) to support pupils and contribute to improving life chances. You will work under the supervision of a class teacher, assisting individuals or small groups and helping with planning and review for pupils.

You will supervise medication, provide personal care, and support therapy programmes and mobility as needed. This is a temporary, part-time, on-site role in a Disability Confident environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils or children in support roles.
• Ability to follow supervision and instructions from teaching staff.
• Commitment to improving life chances for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils/children individually or in class or in small groups.
• Contribute information to update planning and review process for individual pupils.
• Supervise pupil/child self-administration of medication.
• Provide a high level of personal care to enable pupils to function at their best.
• Carry out support programmes designed by visiting specialists.
• Support pupil mobility on short-term or low-level needs.
