Job summary

GET Staff is seeking a Pump Engineer to service London and the Home Counties. The role offers either a permanent position or a self-employed arrangement, with a company van, fuel card, and mobile job-management app.

You will install, maintain and repair pumps, work with booster sets and sewage systems, and participate in an on-call rota while upholding safety standards. Applicants should have prior pump engineering experience, knowledge of water pumps, and strong customer service skills to

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pump Engineer.
• Practical experience with cold water booster sets and pressurisation units.
• Knowledge of foul water, sewage and stormwater pumping systems.
• Electrical fault-finding skills related to pump equipment.
• Confined space experience.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair cold water booster sets and pressurisation units.
• Work on submersible foul water and stormwater pumps.
• Carry out electrical works associated with pump systems.
• Operate cold water storage tanks and associated equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs and installations.
• Complete job reports using the company’s mobile app.
• Join the on-call rota and respond to emergency call-outs.
