Job summary

Sulzer Leeds is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to assemble complex centrifugal pump assemblies in line with engineering drawings and quality standards. You will fit bearings, shafts, impellers and seals, ensuring precise alignment and compliance with specifications at our Leeds facility.

Experience with rotating equipment in a manufacturing/industrial environment is essential. A time-served apprenticeship and strong tooling skills are required; Sulzer offers training, a competitive salary,

Qualifications

• Reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience assembling rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes or similar machinery.
• Skilled with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble centrifugal pump assemblies per drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Carry out mechanical fitting including bearings, shaft, impeller, seals and final pump build.
• Interpret engineering documents to ensure accurate component assembly and alignment.
