Job summary

The British Pharmacological Society is seeking a Publishing Assistant to join the Publishing team. The role supports the Head of Publishing, Publishing Editor and colleagues, providing administrative and editorial assistance to ensure timely, high-quality publication of the Society's journals.

You will collaborate with Trustees, Editorial Board members, staff at Wiley, and authors to promote the Society’s work.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in administration and proactive problem-solving.
• Ability to work with a range of stakeholders including Trustees, Editorial Board members and authors.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and editorial support to the Head of Publishing and Publishing Editor.
• Assist with day-to-day management of the Society's journals and support peer review initiatives.
• Support delivery of the Society's publishing strategy and maintain relationships with Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Boards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with editors, Trustees and members to enhance service levels.
