Job summary

IBTS - Institute for Building Technology and Safety seeks a field maintenance worker to perform a range of routine manual labor and maintenance tasks, operating vehicles and equipment to keep streets, medians, and signage in good condition. The role requires overtime and potential emergency response.

You will work under supervision to support city maintenance projects, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliable teamwork in a field environment.

Qualifications

• Must perform heavy manual labor and work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions with safety in mind.
• Must be able to operate and use maintenance equipment safely.
• Regular driver's license required; CDL Class B not required.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintains streets, sidewalks, medians, parkways and signage.
• Performs asphalt, concrete, and drainage maintenance and repair tasks.
• Provides traffic control by setting up cones and signage.
• Keeps records and logs of work performed.
