Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking a Principal Officer for the Public Transport Team, part of the Place and Communities Directorate. You will lead a small team, manage day-to-day processes, and engage with customers and stakeholders to improve bus services across the area.

You will work with local authorities and operators, manage budgets, and utilise Microsoft Office and transport IT tools. Hybrid working is offered with periodic office attendance during onboarding.

Qualifikationen

• Educated to A-level standard or equivalent with public transport experience.
• Strong local geographic knowledge and ability to work remotely.
• Knowledge of Section 106 funding, planning process and budget management.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and public transport IT programs.

• Lead Public Transport Team of three, manage processes and requests.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders; support Public Transport Manager.
• Contribute to BSIP programme and planning work, including Section 106 funding.
