Job summary

VANRATH is assisting a large Public Sector Organisation in recruiting a Roofer for an initial 3-month contract based at the Newtownabbey site. You will carry out roofing maintenance and refurbishment across Housing Executive stock, with responsibilities spanning lead work, tiling, and guttering repairs.

The ideal candidate will have an apprenticeship in roofing (time served or skills based), at least one year post-apprenticeship experience, strong health & safety knowledge, and excellent

Qualifications

• Completed an apprenticeship in Roofing (time served or skills based).
• Minimum one year post-apprenticeship roofing experience.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and legislation in maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

• Undertake roofing work for Housing Executive stock/buildings.
• Repair and replace lead work on roofs.
• Renew/rebedding hip and roof tiles and chimney pots.
• Repair mineral felt and asphalt flat roofs.
• Replace slates/tiles and survey faults on pitched/flat roofs.
• Maintain guttering and fascia; perform related tasks as needed.
• Provide quality customer service and maintain client relationships for NIHE.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and legislation.
