Job summary

Opencast | B Corp™ is seeking a Quality Assurance consultant to ensure quality is built in from the start across a range of public and private sector projects. You could be the sole software test engineer or part of a small team, promoting the Opencast approach in an agile setting and mentoring junior colleagues.

You will work across testing types, collaborate with clients and users, and help maintain quality while aligning with government and client standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as the sole software test engineer on a project or on a team.
• Ability to write, run and debug functional automation tests.
• Experience presenting work to stakeholders.
• Experience managing defects from discovery to resolution.
• Ability to create user stories and technical tasks from high-level requirements.
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and peer review processes.
• Experience creating test plans and reports and participating in E2E/UAT.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing across projects in an agile environment.
• Collaborate with team members, clients and users to maintain quality.
• Mentor junior QA colleagues and promote best practices (Opencast approach).
• Ensure work aligns with Opencast quality, security and environmental policies.
• Contribute to test plans, reports and continuous improvement.
